Most people think carefully about shoes, bags and jackets before a trip. But there is one item that is worn closer and more often than almost anything else: underwear.
For years, I felt that ordinary underwear was treated as a basic necessity rather than a product worth improving. Yet it has to work through long flights, busy workdays, exercise, sports, airport queues, changing weather and unfamiliar places.
That is why I created Vearaa.
Vearaa is a performance-underwear project built for the way modern life actually moves: from everyday routines to workouts, sports and travel. My aim was not to create another product with a long list of empty promises. I wanted to develop a more dependable base layer, one designed around comfort, movement and practical use.
The problem I wanted to solve
Travel and active days can be surprisingly demanding on clothing. You might spend hours sitting on a flight, then walk quickly through a new city with luggage. You might start at work, exercise later and return home late at night.
In those moments, small discomforts become noticeable. Underwear that rides up, twists, feels too warm, loses shape or needs constant adjustment can take attention away from everything else.
I began with a simple question:
Why should people need different underwear for everyday wear, exercise, sport and travel?
That question became the starting point for Vearaa.
Designed for movement, not just for standing still
Vearaa is being developed as next-generation underwear built for workouts, sports and travel. The focus is on how a garment feels during real movement—not only how it looks in a product photo.
The product concept brings together advanced performance fabric with design details intended to support comfort and stability throughout the day.
SiliconeGrip™
SiliconeGrip™ is designed to help the leg openings stay in place during walking, training and everyday movement. The goal is to reduce the need for repeated adjustment without relying on uncomfortable compression.
DropGuard™
DropGuard™ is a targeted comfort feature designed to help manage localized moisture during active use. It is not a medical product and should not be treated as protection from any health condition. Its purpose is simply to make the garment more practical for movement and longer days.
Elasto-Microfiber™ waistband
A waistband can make or break the experience of wearing underwear. Vearaa’s Elasto-Microfiber™ waistband is designed to feel secure while helping reduce rolling, twisting and unnecessary pressure.
These features are being developed to work together with the fabric, fit and construction—not as isolated marketing claims.
Why travel is central to the idea
Travel is one of the clearest tests of whether an everyday product is truly practical.
A journey may involve an early departure, airport security, long hours sitting down, climate changes, a hotel check-in and a lot of walking. When luggage space is limited, every item has to earn its place.
That is why I wanted Vearaa to be relevant beyond the gym. A good travel base layer should feel comfortable, move easily with the body and fit into a lighter, more intentional packing routine.
Vearaa is also being developed with a reusable TravelBox concept, intended to help keep clean and worn garments organised while travelling. It is a small detail, but packing systems matter when you are living out of a suitcase or carry-on bag.
Development, testing and transparency
Creating an apparel product is not only about having an idea. It requires repeated sampling, feedback, material research, fit refinement and quality checks.
Vearaa’s campaign materials describe advanced performance fabric and lab-tested, certified product elements. However, I believe transparency is essential: individual comfort and product performance can vary by body type, activity, care routine and conditions of use.
